The Osterville Rotary Tournament of this past Saturday was a grand success. The results are posted below.
This coming weekend is the OAC sponsored Ladies Shoal Troll which continues to be a real fun, well attended event. The generosity of the many donor/sponsors continues to amaze!
There will be a captains’ meeting this Friday @ 6:00 pm (registration sign up 5-6, with a brief meeting at 6 pm sharp) at OAC for the Ladies Shoal Troll. Chowder from Wimpy’s will be served. On Saturday fishing commences at 6Am-1PM, weigh-in is 1-3pm at OAC followed by lots of food, fun and prize giving. The entry fee for this event is $50 per angler, which includes a shirt and hat. There will be food at the weigh in and also 3-5 served inside the club. A detailed schedule and menu will be published in tomorrow’s enews.

For the inside Nantucket Sound division, Art Hughes had the 1st place bluefish on his boat and JR Magee had 3rd. Frank Torbey picked up the first King Mackerel of the season and E.J. had a 2.75 lb Black Sea Bass. There was a nice BBQ and awards dinner with live music at the Wianno Yacht Club following the tournament.

Please mark your calendar- the OAC is having a youth scavenger hunt August 21st from 4-6pm. Members with children or grandchildren under 16 are encouraged to join us for a boat scavenger hunt around Three Bays in search of various items. Don’t worry if you do not have a boat- you are still welcome to participate and we will find a spot on a boat for you. If anyone is willing to take on a few extra passengers, that would be great.
