The Osterville Anglers Club (OAC) is a family fishing club — open year-round with social, tournament and education events for members, guests and the local community. Membership has its privileges, as each member can use the Club at their leisure, to take in the waterfront view, use WiFi at the Club, enjoy meals with family & friends – 365 days a year.

The OAC kicks-off the tournament season with a Youth Striper Night/Learn to Fish Seminar in May (fun for kids and adults alike). Our annual women’s angling tournament is the Ladies Shoal Troll in July, plus another exciting line-up of youth tournaments and activities. Prizes and awards are given-out on the evening of the tournament at the Club Tournament Dinner, and also at the season end at our Annual Tournament Awards Night Dinner in November.

In addition, our annual Socials include the Season Kick-Off Social & New Member Party in June, the Mid-Season Social in July, and the Season Ending Party. Members enjoy great get-together evenings with music, dining & fun while taking-in the beautiful Club waterfront view of West Bay. Education seminars and safe boating classes are scheduled during the winter and spring months.

Mission & Membership

The general purposes of the association shall be to promote fresh and saltwater angling from both boats and beach; to foster and conduct fishing tournaments of all kinds; to promote and encourage conservation of marine fisheries and the preservation and maintenance of beaches, marshlands, etc.; to provide and maintain a suitable club house for recreation and use of its members.

Membership in this organization will be open to any person of good character who has demonstrated an active interest in sport fishing and conservation, is sponsored by two members in good standing or recommended by an interview committee, and whose application is approved by a minimum of two thirds of the Board of Directors.

Mandatory Requirements of Membership

All members shall during the first twelve months of admission 1). Contribute eight hours of service on a committee to which you will be assigned, 2). Attend at least one club sponsored social and one educational event with one or both sponsors and 3). Participate in one club sponsored fishing tournament as a registered angler.
