Dave Ryan’s Oyster Presentation Thursday, April 25th @ 6:00 PM
OAC Member, Dave Ryan will do a presentation on the ecology and husbandry of oysters in local waters, the shellfish aquaculture industry on Cape Cod and its relationship to water quality. The evening will conclude with an oyster tasting with a variety of local oysters. Please RSVP to [email protected] or 508-420-4336
On The Water: Striper Cup 2013 The Osterville Anglers Club is once again organizing a club team to compete in this year’s 5 month long competition. Last year the OAC finished in the top 10. It does not cost any additional fee, simply enter OAC in the club affiliation section when you register for the Striper Cup. You are still eligible for all individual prizes throughout the competition. The cost is $35 for OTW subscribers and $20 for youths under 17 years old. You get a t-shirt, sebile lure and golden ticket (chance to win a Pursuit 23′ Center Console and entry to the 2013 Striperfest) with your entry. There are tons of weekly and monthly prizes. Henry O. will be the team captain. The competition begins May 1st.
Edgartown Tournament Update June 1st
OAC has reserved 10 rooms at the Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown at a rate of $159/night (usually $275/night). Your one or two night stay must be booked by April 30th at 800-225-6005. The rooms are first come, first serve. Bruce Cunningham has worked out a deal with Edgartown Marina for dock space. The cost is $50/night. Please email Kendra at [email protected] to indicate if you are going and how many nights.
