Cape Cod 5000 

Member Todd Walantis reports the Cape Cod 5000 tournament will be held this week end. This is a slot tournament. The winner is determined by the heaviest combination of 2 striped bass measuring 28″- 36″. First prize is $5,000. There is also a bluefish division and there is a total of over $15,000 in cash and prizes. The captain’s meeting is Friday June 29^th at the OAC at 6pm. Fishing starts at 12:01 am on June 30^th through lines out at 2pm on July 1^st. For details, visit:  www.capecod5000.com .

Thresher Team – 59 Bass 

OAC member and director E.J. Jaxtimer reported that Team Thresher headed toward Cuttyhunk last Saturday — and ended up catching 59 Bass !  He reported son Sam caught a 31.5 lb and son Jamie caught a 36.+ lb. amongst others.  All but four of the bass were boated and released.  What a day !  (Exact location not given ……..)
