Recap of Recent Tournaments

Baxter’s: This past Thursday a fleet of 24 boats fished in the Baxter’s Youth Hockey Tournament, organized and run by member E.J. Jaxtimer. $20,000 was raised for BYH and an incredible amount of great fish were caught on a picture perfect Cape Cod day. There were both adult and youth divisions, but in the end, the youth anglers were able to best the adults in both bass and bluefish. Youth member Nicholas Swaylik won the bluefish division with a 12.2 lb fish caught on First Nichol. In the striped bass division, member Dave Ryan won 2^nd place with a 28.6 lb fish caught on DreamCatcher and Matt Mederois and Sam Jaxtimer took 2^nd and 3^rd with 24.1 & 21.8 lb bass caught on Bull Shark. Detailed results will be posted in the club.

Cape Cod 5000: This past week end boats from all over New England competed in the 4^th annual Cape Cod 5000 tournament. Member Mike Dwyer took home the $5,000 cash, weighing in 2 bass in the 28″-36″ required slot that totaled over 36 lbs. Henry O won second in the bass division walking away with a Raymarine night vision camera. The Jaxtimer boys (Jonathan, Jamie and Sam) won first in bluefish, Henry O was third and Rich Trifone was 4^th.
