OAC Update – May 8th, 2014

The fish have finally arrived!  After coming up blank on my first 2 early season trips, I entered Cotuit Bay this past week and found bass all over the surface.  We have a lot going on next week end and I encourage members to attend the captain’s meeting next Thursday if you are interested in participating.

OPENING WEEKEND starts Thurday, May 15th

Thursday – Captains Meeting @ 6:00 pm.  Registration for Larry Coggeshall and Three Bays Spin/Fly Tournments

Friday – Youth Striper Night, 5:00-8:00 pm 

Saturday – Larry Coggeshall Season Opener, fishing 6:00 am – Noon.  Weigh-in 12:00 – 1:00 pm

Sunday – Three Bay Spin/Fly Tournament, 7:00 am breakfast at the OAC followed by catch & release fishing 8:00 am – Noon

Season Opener Cocktail Party

Cod/Haddock Fishing Trip

Wednesday, May 14th

OAC member Dave Ryan has chartered a Captain John boat out of Plymouth for next Wednesday, May 14th.  The boat typically takes up to 80 anglers, but Dave has arranged the boat as a private charter and will limit the number of anglers to 20.  The cost is $100/angler.  This trip will depart Plymouth at approx. 7:00 am and return around 3:00 pm.
