Richard B Sellars One Day Bass Recap
A fleet of 12 boats fished this past Saturday. Although there were more albies around than stripers, there were some nice bass weighed for the top slots. In the male division: Rob Miller’s Summer Place landed the largest bass at 30 lbs, Jim Crowley’s Mindia took second with a 25.57 lb fish and Captain Charlie Richmond on Seacure had 3rd with a nice 22.5 lb bass. In the female division: Barbara Stewart weighed a 24.50 lb bass for first and Mary Miller at 16.7 lbs for second. There were also a couple OAC youth anglers out there: Congrats to Nicholas Swaylik with a nice slam…he weighed a 22.2 lb bass, 10.2 lb albie and a 9.10 lb blue. Henry O’Shaughnessy Jr had a 12lb bass and Liam Bedenkop also managed a nice albie that weighed in at 8.3 lbs. A crowd of 45-50 people enjoyed a nice awards dinner back at the club. Thank you to Lesley Swaylik for all the help organizing, George Noonan for his perfectly cooked striped bass and Tournament Chair Bruce Cunningham for all he did to run the event. Several of the Sellars family attended the dinner and made a very generous donation to be used for a new OAC crane style scale. Here are the detailed results:

On The Water Striper Cup
Neal Larsson has left a stack of complimentary tickets for the Striper Fest. Stop by the club and take what you need. The event is held on Falmouth Harbor next Saturday September 29th at Marina Park from 1 pm- 7pm. Member Henry O’Shaughnessy Jr. will be on the stage presented with an award for his 43 lb bass that won the youth division for the month of July. Member Rich Trifone reports OAC Striper Cup team has moved into 12th overall and he continues to catch 30+ lb stripers in Cape Cod Bay on a regular basis.
