Great White Sharks! A Presentation by Dr. Greg Skomal at the OAC

Save the date for our next pasta dinner & speaker event. Thursday, December 6^th at 6 pm. Dr. Greg Skomal is an accomplished Marine Biologist, underwater photographer, explorer, aquarist and author. He has been a Senior Fisheries Biologist with Mass Marine Fisheries since 1987 and currently heads up the MA Shark Research Program. He has appeared in a number of film and TV documentaries, including programs for National Geographic, Discovery Channel, ESPN and others.

More recently, Dr. Skomal has been leading the tagging program off Chatham and has some incredible video, photos and stories to tell. Thanks to member E.J. Jaxtimer for setting this up.

OAC Youth Halloween Party

This Saturday, October 27^th at 4 pm. All OAC youth and their friends are invited. Prizes for the best costumes.

Awards Night is Saturday, November 10th at 6:00pm

Don’t miss our annual Awards Night Dinner and celebration starting at 6pm on Saturday, November 10th. This is the evening we recognize those members catching great fish during the season, and others who have gone above and beyond to contribute to the Club. You should have received raffle tickets in the mail. Simply cut the numbers on the far right of the tickets and mail back with a check or call Patricia to charge (MasterCard or Visa). You keep the left side of the ticket as your stub. Patricia has a master list of all raffle tickets and will make sure your tickets are processed correctly. You do not need to be present to win. Last year’s winner walked away with over $1,500 cash! Proceeds from our annual fundraiser help the OAC fund all of the great events throughout the year. Your support is very much appreciated. There will be a chicken and pasta dinner from Wimpy’s.
