2013 OAC Derby

Dave Ryan landed a nice 41″ bass in 3 feet of water this past week end.  It weighed in at 21 lbs and fell for a 10″ white Hogy.  Dave holds on to a nice lead in the OAC Derby.  The Derby ends this Saturday, October 19th and the scale will be open from 4-6 at the club. This is a great chance to get our youth members out and weigh some fish. We have decided to present the Derby awards at the Annual Awards night on November 9th.  Therefore, there will NOT be a cook out or potluck (as listed on some calendars) this Saturday.  Complete results can be found on our website at  https://www.ostervilleanglersclub.com/oac-derby/

Youth Halloween Party @ the OAC

Next Friday, October 25th from 5:30-7:30 PM we will have a Halloween Party for our youth members.  There will be a prize for best costume, and as always, there is no charge for youth events.

2014 Board of Directors Ballot Reminder

You should have recently received the 2014 Board of Directors Ballot.  This year we have 4 candidates running for 3 open spots.  Please return your ballot by October 31st.  If you have any questions please contact the Nominating Committee – Bob Lewis, Mary Miller or Scott Swaylik. 

Awards Night

Awards night will be on Saturday, November 9th at 6pm and will be catered by Wimpy’s Seafood.  The Board of Directors has decided to take a break from fundraising and focus on a great night for members.  Therefore, we will pass on raffle tickets and a live auction this year.  Come enjoy a nice party at no cost for OAC members.  Please RSVP to 508-420-4336 or [email protected] as we need an accurate count for the caterer. 

Save the Date

Annual Holiday Christmas Party is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th.  The party is potluck and will include a Yankee Swap.  More info to follow.
