Ronald “RonZ” Poirier
RonZ passed away last Friday and will truly be missed. Ron started his RonZ fishing lure company in 2003. His lures are shipped worldwide for tuna and striped bass. Ron had a positive outlook and last fall during his battle with cancer he was commercial bass fishing and chasing tuna. He was a true inspiration to all, to live life to the fullest while you can. Over the years Ron donated lures for OAC tournaments and presented at seminars in our club. Our thoughts are with his wife and family.
Stripers have arrived
This year has been off to a late and slow start, but there are reports of fish all over in the last couple of days. I have got schoolies on both plugs and flies in the three bays area. Yesterday I received a report of decent bass in Barnstable Harbor. Things should really pick up over the next week or so.
