OAC Update | September 29, 2014

  

  

  

We had nine boats competing this past Saturday.  It was a picture perfect weather day, but the season that has proved tough for striped bass continued and only two out of the nine boats weighed bass.  OAC members John Lake and Barbara Stewart found a pile of bass on the Rosie S and managed to sweep the fleet with the top 3 bass.  Barabara had the largest fish of the day at 19.90 lbs.  Gary Deuloo 2nd at 19.70 lbs and John Lake 3rd at 18.60 lbs.  Charlie Richmond, on Seacure, was the only OAC captain to weigh a bass, a 16.30 lb striper caught by his son Blaine, and walked away with the Captain Bill Cotter award and 10 Sellars points.  We had a little over 40 back at the club for dinner, including a table full from the Sellars family.  John Lake donated his calcutta winnings back to the OAC, to help pay for the dinner.
