OAC Update – September 22, 2014

Captain’s meeting Friday, September 26th @ 6:00 pm

Due to lack of interest for Nantucket, the One Day Bass will be fished out of the OAC and there will not be a Nantucket Shootout.  Fishing hours will be 6 am – 2 pm, weigh in 2pm – 4pm and a dinner back at the club at 5:30 pm.  There is no registration fee for OAC members.  Non OAC members will be $25 for adults and $10 for youth (15 and under).  Dinner is included for registered anglers and $10 for additional family or guests

  

There are quite a few awards at stake:

The Captain Bill Cotter Award is presented at awards night to the OAC Captain that lands the largest striped bass in this tournament.  In addition, some of the annual awards are based on some combination of a bass, so a nice bass weighed for this tourney can make the difference.  Although this is a bass tournament, you may also weigh a bluefish that can count towards annual awards.  In addition, we have had many members weigh in fish for our derby.  You may bring in other species to the weigh in if you would like to enter for the derby.
