| This past Saturday, The Osterville Rotary hosted the 22nd annual bass & bluefish tournament to benefit many local charities. It was a picture perfect day on the water and 13 boats were competing, including 7 from the OAC. Ken Cirillo managed first for both bass & blues fishing onboard Summer Place with Captain Rob Miller. OAC member Mike Singer, Captain of Mojito, also won 2nd and 3rd place for the inshore division.

 The O’Shaughnessy Family managed to catch some big striped bass and black sea bass while on vacation at Cuttyhunk. Several of their fish were weighed for the derby. For complete derby results, go to OAC Derby Leaderboard
Flying Fish at Hanky!
While fishing on Hanky during the Ladies Shoal Troll aboard Bob Lewis’ Blue Moon, we saw a Flying Fish ‘fly’ right alongside the boat!
It wasn’t a mirage, we hadn’t been partaking in any adult beverages, and all five of us aboard saw it at the same time.
I’m interested to find out if anyone has ever seen Flying Fish in Nantucket and or Vineyard Sound either this year or in years past.
This is what they look like, but we weren’t fast enough to get a picture of our own.
