On The Water Striper Cup

We had 10 OAC anglers sign up for the Striper Cup at the seminar last week.  We have 4 remaining kits for anyone that would like to sign up.  The cost is $40 and includes registration fee for the 5 month long competition, T Shirt, Sebile lure, spool of braid, Striper Cup pin and a chance to win some of the hundreds of prizes, including a new boat.  We have the following sizes: (2) XXL, (1) XL and (1) S.  You can certainly sign up direct through On The Water, but if you take one of our remaining kits you save the $6 shipping.  Remember to add “OAC” on your registration form, so that your fish will count towards the club team.  Email or call Kendra…available first come first serve.

New Striped Bass Regulations for 2015

The Division of Marine Fisheries (MarineFisheries) has adopted a 1-fish recreational bag limit for Atlantic striped bass in 2015; the recreational minimum size limit remains the same at 28″. This bag limit reduction (from 2 fish) was undertaken to reduce recreational harvest in Massachusetts by at least 25%, as required by the interstate management plan. Massachusetts’ commercial quota has also been reduced by 25%.
